Local SEO That Helps Nearby Customers Find You.

Somebody nearby is searching for the service you provide right now. Local SEO helps Google, Maps, and AI assistants understand who you are, where you work, and why they should recommend your business.

Why people hate hiring for this

See exactly what your SEO work includes.

SEO has earned its suspicious reputation. Too many businesses pay monthly tribute and receive a foggy report full of charts, incantations, and no useful explanation.

The Nerd Fire rule is simple: you see what changed, why it changed, what improved, and what I will work on next.

A hidden stat block is how a bad build hides. Yours stays on screen.

What local SEO actually is

Four parts of local SEO that help you get found.

Google Business Profile management

The map result is most of local search, and it's the part most businesses set up once in 2019 and never touch. Categories, services, hours, photos, questions, posts. This is the single highest-return thing on the list and it costs nothing but attention.

Customer reviews that build trust

Reviews are the biggest local ranking factor there is, and the ones that mention what you do and where you did it help most. Getting them asked for properly matters more than any technical trick on this page.

Pages built for each service

One page saying "we serve the metro" loses to a page about the actual thing in the actual town. That means real pages for real services and places, written for people, not stuffed with names.

Technical SEO and business information

Schema markup, a site that loads fast on a phone, and your name, address and phone number matching everywhere they appear online. Invisible when right, expensive when wrong.

The bit that changed

Customers now ask AI for recommendations too.

Search now includes AI

A growing share of "who should I hire for this" starts in an AI assistant rather than a search box, and Google now answers a large slice of searches with an AI summary before any result. Being the tenth blue link matters less than it did.

The same basics still work

Those tools are mostly reading the same things: your Google profile, your reviews, your pages, and what other sites say about you. The work that gets you recommended by a person is largely the work that gets you cited by a machine. Done properly, you're optimizing for both at once.

No tricks or ranking promises

Nobody can guarantee a spot in an AI answer, and anyone who does is selling something. What I can do is make sure the facts about your business are consistent, structured and easy to quote. That's the part that's actually in our control.

I keep up with search changes

This is a field where the rules changed eighteen months ago and most people are still working from the old map. Reading changelogs and documentation for fun turns out to be a job skill.

Proof, such as it is

Real search results matter more than vanity numbers.

2,123

clicks in twelve months from three searches by people who had never heard of them

The searchClicksClicked
magic show glenside1,16068%
glenside magic57869%
magic glenside38570%

Roughly seven out of ten people who saw the listing clicked it. A typical search result gets three to five out of a hundred.

And it's still moving

magic show glenside went from 475 to 685 clicks in the last six months against the six before it. Up 44%.

Why I report useful results instead of one big number

That same site had 20,900 clicks over the year. I could have led with that. I didn't, because most of it came from people searching the business by name, and a business earns its own name. Putting it on my page would be me taking credit for their reputation.

The 2,123 is the honest figure: strangers who typed what they wanted and where they were. That number is small enough to be believable and it is the only one that measures what I actually did.

“Justin is such a pleasure to work with. Very responsive to my comments and needs. He produced a great looking start to my website and I look forward to moving forward.”

What I won't put here: traffic graphs with no scale, "up to 300%" with no starting number, branded searches dressed up as discovery, or anyone else's results. If a number on this page isn't mine or my client's, it isn't on this page.

Start here, free

Get a free local SEO video review.

Send your business name and two or three searches you want to win. I will record a private screen-share showing what appears, where the gaps are, and which fixes deserve the first turn.

Usually 5 to 10 minutes. Takes you about two minutes to ask for. No call, no pitch, no obligation, and the video is yours whether you hire me or not. Plenty of what's in it you could do yourself in an afternoon.

It's a video because you should watch someone look at your site before you pay them to touch it. You'll know inside two minutes whether I know what I'm looking at, and it saves us both a discovery call.

You get a private link. Watch it on your own time, at 2x if you want, and send it to whoever else needs to see it.

What it costs

$499 a month. Three months to start.

No setup fee. The first three months are a commitment, and then it's month to month for as long as you want it. That's not a lock-in, it's the honest minimum. Local SEO takes three to six months to move, so anything shorter would be me taking your money for work that hasn't had time to show up yet.

What to expect

When local SEO is not right for your business.

  • If you're brand new with no customers yet, spend the money on getting the first ten
  • If you serve the whole country, this isn't the right kind of SEO
  • If you want results next month, local SEO takes three to six to move
  • If your site is broken, fix that first. It's cheaper and it works faster

Telling you not to buy is worth more to me than one month's fee.

See care plans instead
The awkward questions

Local SEO questions.

How long until I see something?

Google Business Profile changes can move within weeks. Rankings for competitive searches usually take three to six months to shift meaningfully. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either lying or targeting searches nobody makes.

Can you guarantee I'll rank number one?

No, and neither can anyone else. Google decides, and it changes its mind. What I can promise is that the work gets done, you can see what it was, and you'll know whether it moved.

What do I actually get each month?

A report showing the searches you rank for and where you moved, what I changed and why, and how many calls and form fills came through. Written so you can read it without me explaining it.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Three months to start, then month to month. The three months exist because the work genuinely needs that long to show, not to trap you. After that, leaving is a sentence in an email and there's no cancellation fee.

Do I need a care plan too?

No, they're separate. But SEO on a site that's slow, broken or out of date is money spent fighting your own website, so I'll tell you if that's where you actually are.

What happens if I stop?

The pages, the profile and the reviews are yours and they stay. Rankings drift over time because competitors keep working, but nothing gets taken away from you.
